What is it with human beings?
You say you want something but then you seem to deliberately keep doing what will never get you the thing you say you want. It does seem a little crazy at times, doesn’t it?
It is as though you are on your own special path to destruction, to boredom, to being stuck and then to feeling sorry for yourself about it.
You just keep doing the very thing that has never ever gotten you the results you say you want.
You talk to me about options but then you keep going back and doing the very thing that has stolen your options. What on earth is going on?
You talk about having more time and again, you go right back to doing the very exact thing that has stolen all your time.
What do you think will be different this time?
I mean, really.
Unless you somehow break out of the cycle then surely you can see the path your life is going on…
But no, you think to yourself deep inside that all the things you dream of will somehow happen… They just will, or so you think.
You keep thinking that you will start doing them at some point in the future when all things are lined up just right and the skies open and a voice from the heaven tells you that this is now the right time and then you will KNOW, absolutely KNOW that it is your time and well…
I hate to tell you this…
I really do…
But you do kind of know this…
Even though you keep pretending not to…
OKAY, stop delaying, Rosemary, just get it out…
IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
Unless you CHOOSE RIGHT NOW the life you dream of, then you will never get it.
Unless you deliberately decide to face your fears and break free of the trap you are in, then you will NEVER EVER get it.
You will keep living this half-assed, weird version of life and you will look back with regret because, honey, time is continually tick-tick-tocking away.
CONTINUALLY!
And I get it…
We were all told that if we got this job or started that business, if we worked hard and did what we were told then somehow all our dreams would come true and then we grew up and realized it was not happening the way ‘THEY’ told us it would and then we got a choice…
Most people are not aware of that choice, of course.
Most people think there is no other way but you, you are coming round to thinking there just has to be another way or else you are going to go insane.
And I got like that.
It did take hitting rock bottom to get there but I suppose when you hit the bottom, there ain’t nowhere to go but up, or so you hope 😀 after all, there really are no assurances in life. There is always a new low to hit if you see things that way.
But I had to choose to stop seeing life that way, to stop thinking that there was anything that could completely defeat me.
I had to choose to claim the life I wanted rather than keep living the life I was being handed…
It is a deliberate, daily choice…
And no, it is not always easy.
But I think I would rather sell a kidney than go back to my old life as a pharmacist, doing whatever to make money, being in sad relationships, doing whatever to get love.
Because the truth is, The DIVINE is my source. I don’t NEED anything or anyone. I choose them.
But usually we use money or love as the reason to stay trapped in a life we hate.
MONEY IS ONE HUGE CULPRIT.
You can dress it up and make it look pretty…
You can tell yourself that it is because you do not want to focus in too much on the money because that would make you mercenary…
You can tell yourself that you have to be responsible after all, you have the kids, you have the house payments, you have all the regular stuff people have to do in order to stay on the hamster wheel…
You can say whatever you like but the only reason you stay doing something you do not like is because you are scared that you will run out of cash…
The money controls you so much.
And it is such a pity because if you really took the time to look at what you are doing, you would see that this is not the life you wanted, this is not the person you are…
Everything you want is available to you but yes, you have to go and claim it.
You can be wealthy and happy, you know.
You can be rich and generous…
You can have it all and still have loving relationships – It is not either-or, you know.
You have just set it up like that in your head but it is not THE truth.
It is okay to admit to wanting to be rich…
You do not have to become someone horrible if you accept that you want to make money doing something you actually enjoy.
Why have you made money out to be something horrible and something you can only create when giving your life to a job or career or even business that you hate?
And it is those underlying ideas in you that will stop you getting truly rich, you know?
It is those underlying ideas that will stop you doing the things you dream of doing…
It is those underlying ideas that will mean your real strengths, talents and passions are underutilized and then you will pass on those same crazy ideas to your kids who will also then live half a life because they too are trapped by the money.
Is that really what you want?
For you, first of all?
And then, for your kids?
The need for safety and security and comfort is such a trap and made even more so by the fact that you can tell yourself that it is the right thing to do, the noble thing to do, the responsible thing to do.
And I am sorry but I just plain disagree!
It is irresponsible of you to bury your gifts, your talents, your strengths which were given to you specifically…
You moan and complain about the government, the politicians, the economy and so on and yet, you refuse to step up and use your strengths to change things…
Yes, I tell you that you are being irresponsible…
You tell yourself all the time that you can’t do that…
You tell yourself to be ‘humble’…
You tell yourself all those silly platitudes about the best things in life being free…
Maybe they are but are you even experiencing them?!
And you do all that nonsense because you are trying to MAKE yourself feel better about the fact that you are being irresponsible with your strengths…
And so, honey you remain trapped on the hamster wheel…
Doing the same stuff that is getting you absolutely nowhere new…
When will you say ‘ENOUGH’?
Deep down, you are a warrior, looking for adventure, looking for something new to defeat because you know you are capable, you have always done whatever you set your mind to do…
You ARE strong!
So, come on, stop pretending…
Stop pretending and start living!
Start claiming the life, the adventure, the freedom, the joy, the happiness and fulfillment that is yours anyway.
YOU just have to claim it.
You have to get DELIBERATE about it…
Decide, firstly, the life you really want to lead…
Decide the skills and strengths you would like to use in your daily life…
And then get to work, bringing it to life…
