There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise.
From The Bible
.
I used to think I had to know everything before I could do anything.
.
I used to think that perfection was something to aim for, before I would be allowed to live a prosperous life.
.
I chased the acknowledgement of the world as I got my masters degree in pharmacy and then went on to postgraduate study.
.
I even attempted getting a degree in Biblical studies.
.
Nothing wrong with any of these things, of course.
.
But the question is, what was the motivation?
.
If it was just to learn and to improve myself then great, go all in. I still love to read and consider and think and more.
.
But I was seeking the approval of the world and the supposed safety of certainty. I felt my knowledge would give me confidence in a world that scared me.
.
But the thing anyone who seeks growth, knows is that the more you know, the more you realise you do not know!
.
And that is okay.
.
The person who ‘KNOWS EVERYTHING’ is the person who has stopped growing and how can that be good when we are Divinity – there is so much more than this physical form to explore, to learn, to realise. Of course, we can never know it all.
.
The “KNOW IT ALL’ unfortunately has cut themselves off from increased growth & prosperity and I see this a lot with religious people – they are so sure of their ‘THIS IS THE ONLY PATH’ thinking.
.
How can you say that for certain?
.
How can you see the vast array of people on the planet, all designed and created by the Divine, and think that ONLY YOU AND YOUR PATH is the way?
.
It made sense to me once and I closed off every idea that would tell me otherwise which then had the effect of keeping me static and stagnant but I was convinced I was right and everyone else, outside my stream of truth, was of the Devil.
.
And yet, as the quote above says, there is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise.
.
I am happy to consider myself a fool if it means I can continue to explore all that I am.
.
If it means that I can continue to grow.
.
Yes, I would rather be a fool.
