It takes boldness to be oneself in this world.

It takes courage to just allow you, whoever YOU is, to come through at each and every moment.
.
You want to get it right.
.
You are not sure what wrong looks like and so the tendency is to hold back from trying anything new, just in case it IS wrong!
.
You want so much to be admired and loved, though you pretend not to care.
.
And sometimes, you forget that you do not want those things at any cost.
.
And so, you jump through this hoop and that hoop.
.
You look see what others are doing and you try that out for size.
.
You disparage yourself for every imagined or real mistake.
.
And you are so wound up and overwhelmed with trying to be in the world.
.
There is no inner peace.
.
There is no inner acceptance.
.
ENOUGH!
.
Say it again with me: I am enough, I have always been enough, I will always be enough.
.
Say it repeatedly.
.
Do you not fully understand yet that you cannot truly prosper when you are embellishing yourself or demeaning yourself to suit anyone out there.
.
The love you desire will not feel right if you have to be something else in order to receive it.
.
The work will feel unfulfilling if you have to be someone else to do it.
.
You will probably eat and drink to numb yourself out but then find that your health is taking a beating.
.
And money… in some ways, this one will continue to show up anyway if you are working but it will show up in such small quantities, it will forever be on your mind as you try to make it stretch every which way and it will feel like you have to sell yourself, prostitute your true self in order to create even those small amounts.
.
But this is normal in the world we live in, isn’t it?
.
It is normal to prostitute yourself for approval.
.
It is so normal that no one even bats an eyelid when everyone else does it.
.
It is the ones who stand out and do their own thing that get disparaged and abused.
.
“How dare you think you can be different from us? You think you are better than us. You think you can play outside the rules, instead of be a sheep like the rest of us!” is the underlying message of outrage.
.
And yet, there is also admiration for those who dare to do it.
.
A deep longing to be that person who walks their own path.
.
But then most look at their own life and think it is impossible – Too many responsibilities, they tell themselves. I have to conform and kill off bits of myself. It is just the way it has to be for now, they say.
.
Until they die without ever living.
.
AWAKEN, my love.
.
Take off the layers that you allowed the world to place on you.
.
You are born for more.
.
And when I say YOU, I mean the real YOU, not this fake false version of you that you persist in showing the world.
.
Dare to go within and remember who you are.
.
Dare to show up as that person.
.
Let people think what they think.
.
Why do you allow it to matter so much to you?
.
Fall in love with yourself again.
.
Really truly fall in love again with yourself.
.
You are so wonderful!
.
You are so beautiful (and yep, I mean the men too).
.
There is something unique about you and the world could do with that.
.
AWAKEN!
.
Show us who you are.
.
Not everyone will accept you for you and that is ok.
.
You do not need everyone to.
.
there is nothing so lonely as being surrounded by ‘friends’ who do not even know you because you, the real you, is in hiding and the shell of you is on display.
.
Stop choosing that.
.
No embellishments.
.
No reductions.
.
Just be.
.
