We hold on to people who drain us because we think we will be alone without them.

We hold on to ideas about the Divine that do not allow us to trust Him/Her because we are scared of manmade theories of eternal punishment.

We hold on to old stories screamed at us by hurting parental figures and we still believe that the negative things they said about us, are true.

We do not trust the intuitive nudges we receive because we have been trained to live based only on the physical reality.
.
We do not listen to ourselves at all because we are scared to face into the darkness within, in case it overwhelms and defeats us.

We work harder and harder to maintain a life that does not feel satisfying.
.
We believe that average is all we deserve and can expect.
.
We distrust anyone who tries to show us a different way because we tell ourselves it is too good to be true.
.
And so, we hold on to the nonsense because it seems more realistic.

OH AWAKEN, dear soul.

There is such a hunger within you to experience the better things in life but you are so caught up in holding onto the lesser things, believing it is all you can have, all the Divine will ‘let’ you have.
