When I was much younger, those words “YOU ARE NEVER ALONE’ were used to scare me into submission to a scary deity in the sky watching me, waiting for me to make some mistake so that I could be zapped straight to hell or hurt in some way…
They were not words of comfort…
Sometimes, I felt I would very much like to be alone, thank you very much!
Guilt, shame reigned supreme because yep, I did make mistakes…
And hey, I was never alone…
And then as I got older…
I started to realise there was a different side to this thought…
A side that did bring comfort…
Because I started to realise that I was loved…
Not watched in some scary way…
I was LOVED totally…
No hoops to jump through
No one to perform for…
And I was never alone…
On the good days…
On the bad days…
I was never alone
When things seemed to be going to hell
When things were overwhelming and I felt so stressed
When no one understood me and I felt shunned by the world
I WAS NEVER ALONE!
I had a Papa who loved me and I could hide safe in His arms…
No, He did not always baby me like I sometimes wished He would
He revealed myself to me
He revealed who I was being so that I could choose who I wanted to be and what I wanted to create
But whichever way, I was always loved whatever I did
There was always grace
It was not conditional on me obeying rules like I had been taught for most of my life…
And I was NEVER EVER alone
And as I continue to go deeper, I realise more and more that most of the dogma and rules that I learnt to follow, were just a wall between me and the Divine…
A wall I no longer feel the need for.
I remember growing up reading stories of the Israelites who were so scared of their Deity that they asked that Moses be their spokesperson and so in came all the rules and regulations which you will always get if you choose not to trust that you are loved and that you are cared for and that you are never alone…
If you choose to believe that there is some price you need to pay in order to be accepted by the Divine/Universe/God…
And unfortunately, that continues to be the truth in religious organisations, even those that KNOW the reasons for the law and yet, to keep peeps under control, peeps who will not go directly to Source themselves, there are always rules…
And those rules scare people
Those rules put barriers between people and the Divine
Those rules cause people to feel as though they are alone in this vast universe
But it is not so.
You are never ever alone
You are completely loved
And you can connect directly to Source with or without a religious organisation telling you what to say and think…
Yes, it can be helpful to have these things in place but not if it makes you feel separate from the Divine.
YOU ARE NEVER ALONE, my love
And no, it is not some scary stalker thing
It is LOVE
Love surrounds you
Love keeps you going
LOVE
Love
LOVE!
You are so deeply and completely loved.
Stop for a second and really feel it.
