All of life is experience.

And you lose so much of it as you long for ‘someday’. You lose so much of it when you think that you are incapable of being all you want to be, right now.

You give into a quiet despair because you see what you want to make happen but because it seems so huge, you count yourself out and settle back into a life you do not fully experience.

You think that if you cannot have it all, then you will just not have any of it. It is not a conscious thought, mind you. It just shows in the actions you are not taking.

You choose to plod along, doing what you have always done and giving up on hope.

And you lose the everyday opportunities before you, that enable you experience more of life. You stop seeing them. You are stuck in a deep rut and there seems to be no escape.

You have some great highs at times as you feel love for the people in your world but when it comes to you living the life you could live, you have almost given up on that.

You choose instead to be ‘sensible’, ‘practical’, ‘responsible’.

You use words like this because it makes it seem right to have quit on yourself. It makes you think you are being selfless but really you are afraid that you are not enough.

You are afraid that you do not have what it takes…

You are afraid that you cannot handle the disappointment of not achieving all you set out to, so you no longer really try.

It is a sad state of affairs – To have given up on being all you can be…

Well… you try to give up but

“However vague they are, dreams have a way of concealing themselves and leave us no peace until they are translated into reality, like seeds germinating underground, sure to sprout in their search for the sunlight.”

Lin Yutang

You are not at peace.

You are created for experience and whenever you try to shut down, to be less, you live a life of quiet desperation until you wake up to what is possible for you.

And not just wake up but actively take action in the direction of your dreams.

I almost hate talking about dreams – it feels so airy fairy.

And yet, you do dream when you let yourself. You try to shut it off but as the quote says, they will not be silenced and Thank God for that! Imagine they were. What a sad world we would live in. Most of what we currently experience is the result of someone’s dreams.

It has good and bad sides, for sure.

I think mostly good but then I am blessed to live in a part of the world where I am not running for my life every other second and so are you. I have not always been this fortunate. I lived in fear for a long time, worried about what life would throw at me, too scared to be too happy in case it got stripped away by a random event.

People with guns stealing my sense of security…

Not great! Not great at all.

So, now I fight to experience all of life even when I am afraid. I refuse to leave any stone unturned in my quest to be the very best I can be.

And, imagine a world where you, with your noble ideas and dreams, wake up and start to experience your true power. I know it seems too big but you can make a difference.

Maybe you have a dream there for world peace…

No, you will not do it alone but until you do your bit, the piece of the jigsaw that you occupy is not filled.

You may not be able to do everything for everyone but you can do something for someone and it all starts with you waking up to the possibilities, to the experiences and the opportunities that are present right here, right now in front of you.

Will you wake up?

It is Monday, a new week. What have you in store for you? Are you conscious? Or are you already letting life happen to you?

Take a moment now to write out what you want to see happen and take deliberate action in the direction of your desires. Allow yourself to experience something new this week.

Go on, Make it happen!

Fight for, create the life, the business you are born to live

Because you want to.
