Choice always seems like a lovely thing but it is not when you are deciding to live a life that counts for something…
When you give yourself so much choice, you end up doing only what is convenient, only what ‘feels good’ and not what will get you to the goal and purpose that you want your life to be about.
Honey, you have too many choices!
I am someone who chooses to live a mission-focused life and so I do not want to spend a great deal of time picking clothing each day so I have the same types of clothing in my wardrrobe and I simply choose by colour – That saves time last thing at night when I put my clothing out for the next day…
That is one simple way where I reduce my choices so that I do not take up precious time thinking through unnecessary choices.
Another area of my life where I limit my choices is my work – my purpose-driven work.
I KNOW what I need to do each day
Communicate – Write a blog, do a livestream (every biz day) and then do them over again as many times as I can
Capture – Add new names to my mailing list and new people to the Facebook page
Close – Offer people a way for tehm to reach financial independence and live out the call on their life.
Create – Come up with new ideas for the above and for products
I do this every day without fail because I do not give myself the choice of not doing it.
If I allowed myself choice, then I would only do things when I felt like it…
I would only do things when I felt that everyone liked me..
I would only do things when it was convenient to me…
And guess what that would lead to?
NOTHING!
A life full of dreams but no real results…
A life that could have been powerful but it becomes a mediocre life because I never fully committed and gave myself too many choices.
Right now, writing this blog, I want to go back to sleep – One of my princesses has asthma and came through in the night – I struggled to get up at my normal 4am, and I struggled to find the words to say but I DID NOT GIVE MYSELF THE CHOICE!
I want the outcome more than I want the temporary fix of going with my feelings and so I push through, I do what I say I will do, I COMMIT! I take away the choice of not doing it and so I ALWAYS win!
And you too will always win when you stop giving yourself the choice to wimp out on going after your dream…
Your vision is your permission but while you keep giving yourself an out…
While you still have a plan B, it shows a lack of commitment and the shaky mind gets nothing, honey!
You struggle and you do not realise that you cause the struggle by giving yourself too many options…
COMMIT!
You know that big vision inside of you of making a difference and making a lot more money – COMMIT TO IT!
Stop second-guessing and doubting it and therefore stop doing the work only when it feels convenient or when you feel like it!
EVERY DAY, make a decision to be the leader who makes their vision a reality.
Yes, there are many MANY distractions…
Many seemingly good reasons for not doing the work and yet, if you want the result, THERE IS NO GOOD REASON, no matter how pressing all the reasons seem…
NO MATTER who is making the request…
LIMIT YOUR CHOICES when it comes to doing your purpose work – MAKE A COMMITMENT to do what it takes EVERY FREAKING day until you reach your goal.
Let half-measures be unacceptable
Do not settle for that when you could have the BIG PICTURE!
