What does success look like to you?
Freedom to travel when you want to…
A feeling of fulfilment and a deep inner knowledge that you are on track…
A great relationship where you know you are loved and cared for…
Doing work daily that makes you feel ALIVE!
Making a difference simply by being your best self every single day…
Happiness to the very core of you…
Children happy, fulfilled and making great strides in life…
I imagine at least a few of these things and maybe a whole lot more (tell me in the comments what success looks like to you) are in your list of what you want your life to look like…
The question is “Does your life look like that now?”
Now, this is not me trying to make you feel bad…
But I do want to wake you up to this possibility
That SUCCESS (as defined by you) is very much dependent on the daily decisions you make…
It is not a ‘by chance’ thing…
It is not a ‘pray and wait and hope’ thing…
It is a deliberate decision…
And it does start by defining it…
WHAT DOES SUCCESS MEAN TO YOU?
Really…
Because for the most part, most people live to a definition imposed by other people…
You see yourself as primary provider and so you remain in a job that you dislike because you think your purpose in life is simply to provide for you family and you do not realise that you learnt that from your dad (who may have been there or not)…
And it sounds right but you are not happy, you are distant from the family that you say you are providing for and if you asked them, they would rather see more of you but you think you have to stay stuck in a situation you do not enjoy and in fact, you start to resent them for not seeing that you are doing it for them.
And yes, on the outside, it all looks amazing and everyone else thinks you have it made – BUT DO YOU REALLY?
Or maybe you are the stay-at-home parent battling depression, anxiety but hey, you are at home with the children and you have made them your purpose even though once upon a time, you had big dreams, big ideas of what you wanted to see happen in your lifetime but you told yourself that you had to put all of that on hold while you did the ‘right’ thing and immersed yourself in your children and tried to pretend that that is enough for you…
Again, people look at you and they think you are lucky to be able to do that but if you are honest, you do not feel lucky, you feel trapped AND guilty that you feel that way…
WHOSE SUCCESS STANDARDS ARE YOU LIVING TO?
Or maybe, you are the work-away-from-home parent feeling trapped and hating your work but too scared to be consistent at getting your business off the ground. You talk about it…a lot but ultimately, you do nothing… And day by day by day, you pray, beg, plead for clear guidance but then when it comes, you are too scared to commit, too tired to do what it takes and you revert back to living life hating what you are doing but because of an inherent lack of belief in yourself and a feeling that you should be grateful that you escaped your past and that you have a job at all, you stay stuck doing what you hate and trying to tell yourself that this is success…
REALLY?!
What of your relationship? or lack thereof?
Are you actually doing the travel yuo would like to?
I could go on but I am not trying to make you feel bad, as I said…
I JUST WANT YOU TO SEE that you can create your own version of success if you would simply allow yourself to see what you want and to start daily taking steps to make it a reality…
If you would make the decision to stop allowing your mind to be immersed in all the things you have been told are impossible and instead realise that your vision is your permission…
YOUR VISION IS YOUR PERMISSION
You are exactly the person to bring it to life…
You do not have to settle in any area of life…
You simply need to DECIDE and then do whatever it takes to make the dream a reality…
Success is a decision made over and over and over again…
A decision to make of life what you desire…
A decision to co-create with Spirit, the dream in your heart…
Knowing that that dream was planted there by Spirit…
To choose to live beyond the limits of your past…
to choose to BE all you can be.
Honey, will you wake up to what is possible for you?
Will you get on the narrow path to yuor destiny?
Or will you die with your music still in you as you live to the rules of everyone else except you?
You are born for more but unless you take action to create that ‘more’, it will remain a pipe dream and you will have sacrificed it on the altar of everyone else’s opinion on what success SHOULD look like.
WAKE UP!
Inside of you, is incredible wisdom, if you will listen
Inside of you, is incredible power to design a life you adore, if you will pay attention and learn how to tap in…
Inside of you is incredible courage and tenacity and resilience, you have already demonstrated that in your life and you can redirect it to enable you to design the life you desire…
WILL YOU?
Will you wake up and fight for the life you desire?
Will you deliberately design the life you are born to live?
Because, deep down honey, you really do want to.
