So… I went to bed super excited, feeling like I could conquer the world …
then Woke up, feeling flat and fed up and jet-lagged and all of that crazy stuff that morning can sometimes bring as you contemplate a whole new day where you gotta get on and DO THE WORK!
And yes, I absolutely adore what I do.
I love that I get to do all my favourite things and still build a very successful business and yet…
There are days when I just want to go back to sleep and I could, I suppose.
It would not be the end of the world if I did.
After all, part of the reason I love my business is because it allows me that freedom…
And yet, there are certain things I want to create still…
There are certain heights I have not reached yet…
I intend to be serving 334000 people each and every day…
I intend to be making that much and more each month…
And I intend to do all this while my kids are still young enough to be part of it all…
Call it ‘Project 334k’ if you will
And on top of all that, I intend to be supporting 2000 or more kids through the charity Compassion as well…
I have HUGE dreams and there are days when I feel crazy for thinking any of it is possible!
And so I wake up under the weight of it all and would almost like to return to a regular kind of existence and yet, I cannot.
I just cannot!
If I do not do the work I am called to do then I literally believe the world will suffer as a result.
And I imagine that you might feel that way too.
You know that there is something major for you to do.
And though you are caught up in the day-to-day craziness of just trying to make some money – There is something else that drives you inside.
And you know what, even if there is nothing else that drives you other than making some money asap…
The reality still remains the same.
If you say you want something…
If you say you want to make more money…
If you say you want to be a leader…
If you say you want to serve a lot of people…
Whatever you say you want…
Then you have to get over the overwhelm…
You have to stop letting your morning bad mood stop you…
You have to stop spending all your time scrolling through Facebook…
You have to stop tweaking your beautiful but pointless website…
You have to stop investigating all the people you think are doing well…
You have to stop stalking your competitors…
You have to stop using your kids as an excuse…
You have to stop using your current job as an excuse…
You have to stop quoting lack of time as an excuse…
You have to just stop all that nonsense…
And figure out the real work that needs to be done and get to work doing it.
Nobody is being served while you navel gaze.
And therefore, no money is being made and no dreams are being created.
Will any of the reasons that seem so valid right now make you sleep better when you are still stuck doing the same old thing this time next year? – The only difference being that you are a year older.
Will any reason be enough for you to not have your dream life and business?
Listen, you cannot even allow yourself to do the bare minimum to get by because everyone does that and guess what everyone gets…
NOTHING!
Most people tell me how they have done this and done that and done EVERYTHING and still they have not got the result they want therefore, of course, it does not work…
And I look at them and think (I sometimes say it too) – “You just do not want it enough!”
Usually, they are shocked or angry with me and unless they are my client, I just shut up and let them believe their own stories.
You can only lead a donkey to water…
You cannot make it drink.
But this is the thing…
If you want something badly enough, there is no reason on earth, heaven or hell! that will get in the way of you creating that something.
NOTHING!
Nothing can stop a human being on fire.
And that is the problem…
We sometimes lack the fire…
The deep down determination and commitment to do whatever it takes to create the life and business we claim to want.
It just seems too hard…
Especially on those mornings when we just want to roll over and go back to sleep.
We give into the bad mood instead of train our brain to think only of what we are choosing to create in each moment of each day.
And this is it…
A bad mood does not mean anything!
Just because you feel bad does not mean your life is actually bad.
It just means your brain is looking out for the nonsense and so you get to discipline yourself to drag it back to life and drag it back to thinking of things that empower you.
And you get to do it in double-quick time because as you already said earlier, you do not have that much time, do you?
So, how can you spend the limited time you do have creating rubbish scenarios in your head.
Stop believing the lies your own brain is telling you.
It is all a falsehood.
It is all unreal.
There is nothing true about it.
Nothing at all.
You can just as easily create a world where everything is working so that you are always acting from a place of triumph and certainty.
IT is all an illusion and you GET TO CREATE one that suits you.
Your brain, your imagination can be used to empower you or demolish you.
And it is your brain so you get to choose.
What will you choose?
And do it quickly now…
There is no time to waste…
You could already be living your awesome life if you had just done this yesterday, a week ago, a year ago.
Well, as the chinese proverb says
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
So, yep, you did not do it before, but you get to do it right now!
You get to change your outlook on life and business, right now.
And again, frankly even if you cannot get your brain to play ball today…
Guess what, you can still get to work anyway.
Sometimes, just the act of getting to work doing the real work in your business is all you need to drag you out of your funky mood.
No more navel gazing…
