And David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly garment. But as the Ark of the Lord entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she was filled with contempt for him. She said in disgust, “How distinguished the king of Israel looked today, shamelessly exposing himself to the servant girls like any vulgar person might do!”
David retorted to Michal, “I was dancing before the Lord, who chose me above your father and all his family! He appointed me as the leader of Israel, the people of the Lord, so I celebrate before the Lord. Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes! But those servant girls you mentioned will indeed think I am distinguished!”
So Michal, the daughter of Saul, remained childless throughout her entire life.

You are meant to LIVE LIFE, not just rigidly obey rules and customs and dogma…
You are so RIGID and you think it makes you more pleasing to your deity. You think it brings you more of a blessing but actually what it does is CURSE you to a fruitless life.
The sad thing is you are already experiencing that fruitless, low-level sadness life but you think that if you can just obey even more rules, keep even more customs, cut out even MORE THINGS that bring you any joy then maybe THEN, you will finally be good enough for the Divine to bless.
Can you not see that THAT CRAZINESS is the very OPPOSITE of what you need to do?
You need to set yourself free to play in life
You need to dump your rigid rules of what it means to be a good, balanced, kind, spiritual soul.
You are SOOOOOOOOOOO restricted and you are doing it to yourself!
You look at people who truly engage with life and you judge them as silly, frivolous, undeserving of the blessing and you refuse to see that they feel more blessed and loved than you do with all your attempts at perfection.
I talk to you about fighting for the life you want and you filter that through the stupid rules you live by about what it means to be nice and spiritual and you decide to passively go to the grave hoping that the next life will be all that you dream of

I used to pride myself on how disciplined and proper I was but what was the gain?
