I cannot tell you the amount of times I have scrapped everything and started again…
I sometimes feel so stupid about it and yet, every single time, after a period of terrible fear and trepidation, it works out better than ever before
But yes, there is that fear and trepidation to get through…
And that can be tough…
And it will cause you to wonder if you are just plain crazy to keep doing this…
And yet, what is the alternative?
If I had stayed on the path, I would still be a pharmacist…
I would still look good to everyone out there but feel terrible on the inside…
And I got done with that.
I AM DONE WITH THAT!
The path of the regular person is simply not for me…
And so I scrap, scrap, SCRAP again and again until I have deliberately designed the life I desire…
And I encourage you to join me on this path because the work you want to do on this planet, the difference you want to make…
IS NOT going to be found by following the easy path, the broad road…
the one that everyone around you is happy with…
the one that looks sensible..
It will kill your soul.
To put it bluntly!
There is a path that YOU KNOW you need to be on but it scares the living daylights out of you because it may cause you to turn your back on everything and everyone familiar and so you either pretend you do not know the path…
OR you ignore it, telling yourself that it is not possible.
Well, you can keep doing that, if you want to die feeling unfulfilled
OR you can take your courage into your hands and face the truth about you and what you want to make happen.
Some days, I wish I could just make up my mind already and stay on there…
When I start talking about my new direction to my husband, I can see his eyes going to the ceiling as he wonders when I will settle down…
I cannot even have these discussions with most people because they still do not quite understand why I am not still a pharmacist and so, honey, I get it…
I understand the need to stay stuck on the broad path, if just to avoid other people thinking you are flakey…
But you know what?!
So what if they think you are flakey?
If it means you find your true path, then honey, be as flakey as you like…
The only condition I put on that, is be willing to DO WHAT IT TAKES to design the life you want…
Do not be the kind of flakey that just jumps from idea to idea without even trying to make anything work!
That kind of flakey is just trying to find some easy path that simply does not exist.
The path to high achievement and happiness is not always easy…
In fact to start with, it may feel downright hard emotionally because you are tearing yourself away from the familiar to step into the relative unknown and that is SCARY!
The work is actually the easy part…
It is the convincing yourself to DO THE WORK that is the hard part.
And then being consistent with it when it seems like nothing is working the way you want it to…
When it seems like you have gone off the rails and everyone is watching, waiting for you to fail…
Now that is the HARD PART!
And yet, I promise you this – Get past this part and the next part feels amazing…
So please do not be afraid to SCRAP EVERYTHING to do something new, something more fulfilling, something more YOU!
Honey, this is your ONE LIFE! Please use it in a way that makes you feel fulfilled and happy and FREE!
