As I get older and bolder, I realise I am becoming more like the person I dreamt I would be when I was a wee thing (as a client of mine would say).
I realise that I went through years and years of trying to be everything others wanted me to be and finally, I got done with all of that and began to respond to the call within me to repent, return, be me again…
And now I am happier, more prosperous and definitely a lot more fulfilled.
And maybe you feel that call, too…
the call to return to your true self…
You feel the itch, the discontent, the pain of being all things to all people and no thing to yourself…
And you are getting done with it…
But it scares you somewhat…
You are so completely lodged in your current existence that the idea of leaving it all behind and reinventing yourself back to your true design, seems foggy, scary and definitely trouble-causing!
And so you stay in place…
Plaster a smile on your face and wait…
What for?! I wonder…
What do you think will change, if you refuse to change?
All the books, the personal development programs, the seminars will not work…
They give you a temporary high as you pretend that you have ‘done’ something…
But really, what have you done?
Procrastinated on doing what you know in your heart of hearts, needs to be done…
I was having this conversation with Papa this morning as I considered buying ANOTHER program myself…
I am delving deeper into my spirituality, longing to even more intimately connect with Papa – a longing I have had since birth…
And His words to me were to wait…
And come to SOURCE! Implement what I already know and let it take root…
It is the work that works to reinvent me…
Not learning about the work…
And yes, I will get that program soon…
But not today
Today, I go to Source…
I implement what I have already learnt…
I dare to break free even more from my old ideas of how spirituality has to play out…
I dare to leave behind my conditioning and potentially leave behind some friends who want me to remain the same…
I dare to trust that the Divine has me in hand and that His original design for me, is pretty awesome…
And I lean in on Him…
And I am changed as a result…
What of you? What is it that you need to do?
Is it to start writing that book, even though it scares you silly to actually begin?
Is it to begin working with that coach, one on one, so that you are being held accountable to take action on what you already know to do?
Is it to put that blog post out into the world?
Set the date for that workshop?
Figure out how to get into politics and do it already?
Is it to have that scary conversation with your partner, instead of pretending that everything is fine?
Is it to begin caring what food you put into your body?
What is it for you?
How do you need to reinvent yourself today?
Remember you are more powerful than you think you are…
And you are not alone in this – The Divine really does have your back…
