It seems obvious, it seems simple enough and yet, it is not…
If what you are doing is not making you happy, why keep doing it then?
If what you are doing is causing you to feel terrible and stressed out, then quit doing it…
Yes, I know that there are all kinds of demands on you, from people to organisations to family and yet, you still can opt out.
You still can choose a different path…
So, your relationship feels YUK a lot of the time but you have been told that you have to submit forever and so you keep at it and HOPE that things will change…
Great! You don’t want to quit too easily but lets be honest here, you are doing all the same stuff you were doing 1-10 years ago and nothing is changing, it is getting worse –
IS IT NOT TIME TO TRY SOMETHING NEW?
So, you are in incredible debt and you feel terrified by it and that terror makes you work harder and harder at more of what you hate doing as you try desperately to get ahead and you have been doing this for years now and if anything, things are getting worse, not better and you are even more stressed out and terrified…
But you have got yourself into this mess and now you feel you must put up with it and so you keep punishing yourself because the done thing is to keep your credit going strong and you refuse to see that NOTHING IS ACTUALLY CHANGING except you are allowing your life to be eaten up by rules that are not helping you…
Is it not time to opt out of that mess?
So, you belong to a religious organisation that tells you that you have to do what the preacher man says or go to hell for all eternity and you see people being hurt in ways that you hate but you have been told that this is the way things have to be – You are either in or GOING TO HELL and so you keep silent, you keep showing up, you keep volunteering, you keep building someone else’s vision, you keep singing the songs, obeying the rules and you keep telling yourself that your time will come…
All the while ignoring the fact that time is passing and you are still not doing what you feel called to do and you hate who you have to be to keep this facade going…
IS IT NOT TIME TO OPT OUT?
You feel stifled in your sexuality even though it is obvious that it is not some mistake. You were born highly sexual but there are all these rules about how things should be and you do not feel free to make up your own mind and so not only is your sexuality stifled, you feel a lack of creativity, a lack of confidence and you feel a bit like a castrated puppy but hey, it is the way things have to be if you are religious or a ‘good’ person… And frankly, who got time for that?!!!!
Except you feel kinda dead inside but you just slap on a happy face…
Is it not time to opt out?
You consider yourself highly spiritual but right now, as you try to obey all these rules, all you feel is abandoned and lost – And you wonder where the heck your higher power really is? You wonder if He/She/It is just some monster in the sky waiting to send you into a fiery lake of fire for all eternity but you are too scared to really ask Source directly because all these rules, all these conditions, all these opinions are paramount in your mind…
And frankly, you are just plain tired most of the time…
And you just do not even care anymore about being loved…
You just want to get through…
‘Love’ is for the weak, right?!
People look at you, they think you KNOW what you are doing but you don’t…
The facade is so amazing that no one ever offers you any support because they think you got this and so you end up feeling completely alone in the middle of a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE…
Every action you take is really to ‘LOOK GOOD’ and to not think about where life is taking you and you gotta maintain what you have got, right?!
Even if it feels like a chain around your neck, buckling you fast to an existence that you wonder why you even bother trying to maintain…
Are you not ready to be free?
Honey, there is another way…
But you have to be willing to immerse yourself in a different way…
You have to be willing to look inside of you, deep inside of you and pull out the wisdom that dwells there…
I can tell you that you are not alone but you have to be willing to go out on a limb and discover that for yourself…
I can tell you that there is freedom when you are willing to drop this stuff that is keeping you from freedom but I know it is terrifying to even consider…
This is all you feel you have ever known and you kinda think that the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t…
Pity.
And so the longing in your chest continues…
The deep desire to be more continues…
the little whispers get quieter…
And you remain stuck
OR…
You choose a different path
