I sometimes wonder whether anything I do, really matters…
I mean, when you put my work in the light of…
People being killed in one war or the other…
People being marginalised
People hungry
People Dying of thirst
Children growing up without loving parents
Children getting caught up in all kinds of nonsense
Children not getting educated and being sold into some form of slavery or the other…
And I could go on…
It can all seem pointless.
And depending on your world view, the world can start to seem like a very horrid place, at the moment, transitioning to an even more horrid end…
Mostly, I choose not to get caught up in all of it.
I choose to live in a bubble…
A bubble where I don’t listen to the news and the tales of sadness and destruction…
A bubble where I choose to surround myself with only the most positive of things…
But every so often, something breaks through to me in my bubble and I find myself wondering ‘Does my work even matter?” “Is it pointless in the face of such sadness and depression and decay?”
And then I remember…
Or I am reminded, depending on whether Papa feels I need an answer or not…
I remember that yes, my work matters…
The dreams in my heart matter
The Big vision matters
Staring at the problem will never fix the problem.
It just makes the problem seem so big and insurmountable…
And then I start to feel helpless against it…
I start to act helpless against it
And where on earth does that lead?
NOWHERE!
I remember again that the only way to make any real difference is as I draw close to Papa and I act on the intuitive nudges I receive
As I keep the vision in mind and I act towards the vision, not just away from the problems…
It is as I keep the 334000 people in mind and I see the vision of the change that will happen as they are empowered to live to the fullness of their potential.
Some will be called to impact the realms of government, media, education, family, the arts, health and wellness, and so on…
Some will raise world leaders in their homes and in their communities…
Some will raise loved children who go on to have loved children who change the world just by increasing the amount of love being spread around…
Some will feel called to go to hard-done-by places and bring forth a new vision
Some will feel called to fund charities and people who go to these hard-done-by places…
And all because I had a vision of 334000 people living life deliberately, designing the DELIBERATE LIFE of abundance, fulfilment, freedom and love, and I had the courage to speak, sing, write, teach, inspire and empower them to do it, despite my occasional self-doubt.
So yes, my vision matters.
Even on the days when I think I am slightly cray-cray and deluded to think that little old me can do all that…
And then I get over myself, put the vision in front of my eyes and seek guidance for the next step…
And I say all that to remind you
THAT YOU MATTER
YOUR VISION MATTERS
The things you dream in your heart of hearts of doing, they matter
They were planted there by something bigger and wiser than you
And then you were planted here in this day and age to bring that stuff to life…
And while you worry and wonder whether what you desire is important, time just goes on by and nothing in the world changes.
And while you immerse yourself in listening to all the atrocities and injustices in the world, it eats up your energy, keeping you from doing what you can do or just keeping you in reactive mode…
You get caught up in trying to solve problems and getting frustrated when you can’t because you are not called to save the world, you are called to do something specific and your ONLY responsibility is to bring that to life.
YOU MUST CREATE, NOT react!
You do not see the whole picture and yet, you are one of the jigsaw pieces that completes the picture
And so, as you choose to deliberately design your life…
As you tap into your intuition and ask for your next move…
AS YOU THEN FIND THE COURAGE TO TAKE IT, despite feeling some self-doubt…
And then you take the next move after that and then the next move and then the next move – Always creating…
That is how you make a difference…
That is how you impact the world for good…
Your vision is not too small or too big…
It is JUST RIGHT…
You have no idea what impact you could have…
Simply by waking up and being your most powerful, most creative self.
So do not get distracted by all the happenings in the world…
As Jesus says “the poor will always be with you”
Instead, distil out your specific calling/purpose/vision…
And do that.
CHOOSE TO live in a bubble even if called to go do something about the injustice you see in the world…
You cannot change it by reacting to it.
You cannot change anything by acting from the same level of thinking (fear, frustration, helplessness) that caused the problems in the first place…
You make it more real by reacting to it.
CREATE your vision of what life can be…
Ask for wisdom internally to bring your vision to life externally…
And know that that is the best way for you to impact the world for good.
CREATION, not reaction.
Faith walk, not living from experience…
