I needed to be in control…
I wanted to be able to figure everything out before I left the shore of my comfortable life…
I wanted to KNOW every step from where I was to ‘THERE’ – the big vision…
And so I waited and waited until I got pushed off the shore by bankruptcy, depression…
And then I started to fly, to fall, to swim, to sink, to walk on water at times…
Doing things I never thought I could do…
And discovering a strength, a tenacity, a power within me that I did not even know I had…
For some, the hint to get off the shore will be a sudden illness…
The death of someone close to you…
For some, they simply will refuse to notice every hint being sent their way by the Universe and will hold desperately onto the shore while drowning out their pain with entertainment, food, alcohol, religion, sex…
But for those with a calling and a deep desire to live to the fullness of their potential, there is no hiding from it – though you will try to hide until finally, you choose to trust and simply lean in…
Lean in to the overwhelm…
Lean in to the fear…
Move forward despite the self-doubt…
Dance with these things, instead of resisting them…
This life is not for wimps.
It is for the mavericks, the crazy, independent thinkers who refuse to settle for less…
We refuse to be tamed by uncertainty…
We refuse to be told what we can or cannot do by money fears…
We refuse to play this game of life, small…
Though yes, at times, we can also be caught holding on desperately to the shore, needing respite from the overwhelm, fear and doubt…
And yet, honey, the quicker you let go of the shore, the faster you reach your dream.
It is that simple.
Most people do not understand what it takes to live this big life…
And truth is, it is best that we don’t fully understand at the start or else, even we may not have started at all…
But we have a vision and we want it all…
We have a great big dream and we refuse to settle for less…
We are born for more and so we get comfortable with leaning into everything that most people would run from…
We learn to live with the temporary tension because the permanent pain of the old life was just terrible and there was no escape from that. It was just going to go on and on and on and on forever until we died and we would have died knowing that we never really lived. We just avoided pain…
THAT IS NO LIFE and yet, it is the one that many choose.
We are not the many.
We are the chosen.
We are the called.
We have purpose!
And we want it all!
And so we say to overwhelm, fear, doubt – “WE WILL NEVER EVER BACK DOWN! WE CHOOSE TO WIN AND SO WE WIN!”
