The future is a blank canvas awaiting your decision about what should be there.
Mostly, you make the decision quite passively because you think that you have no choice over anything and you just need to roll with whatever happens. You consider yourself a rather amazing roller with the punches because you always find a way to fight through and get what you want… Or at least you used to…
Now… you are more relaxed, you tell yourself… More chilled… More content to go with the flow… Because it got tiring to always fight, fight, fight, so you found a spiritual way to tell yourself that it was better to just let go and allow the will of God or Karma or whatever, WHATEVER you tell yourself is in control—allow their will to play out and you just make the best of things like a good, nice, sweet spiritual soul.
Except within you, there is frustration, anxiety, shame, regret, and plain old fear that you try not to look at. You are trying to heal that, you say, so that you can be even more peaceful, even more chilled, even more content to go with the flow…
EXCEPT, my love, YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY IN YOUR LIFE!
And deep, deep down, you KNOW this. And so no amount of pretending to be chill and super-spiritual-blissful will shield you completely from the lie that you are powerless.
NOTHING CAN EXIST IN YOUR FUTURE UNLESS YOU ALLOW IT.
Right now, creating the future is like sitting in a restaurant with an unlimited menu of all kinds of food choices, all kinds of options—and you get to choose anything you want to eat next. YOU! Not God, not Karma, not some past life version of you, not your parents, not your boss, not anyone or anything other than YOU.
Again, the future is a blank canvas awaiting your royal decree. There are many, many, MANY options available to you. You see them in your imaginings, you see them in your dreams, and then you open your eyes in the physical reality and choose something—either deliberately or passively.
Currently, you are choosing the future where you are acting as the powerless main character who just has to roll with any old thing that happens. And so everyone around you is creating their existence (probably quite passively as well), and you are just going along with whatever they passively dream up that impacts your existence. And they too are dealing with whatever you passively dream up that impacts theirs.
And you are all probably cursing out the politician or the AMAZON dude (or is it the space guy or the computer guy that everyone is hating on these days?) who has more DELIBERATELY decided what he/she wants and is focused on it to the exclusion of anything else.
You tell yourself that that is selfish, greedy of them, while you passively go along with anything, telling yourself that that makes you nice, good, kind, loving, and definitely destined for better things in the next life.
Yeah… OK!
WAKE UP!
You are one with the Divine and you are powerful.
You are one with the Divine and you are limitless.
You are the authority in your life.
You are the one with all the choices on what shows up next.
You just have weird beliefs that mean you keep allowing things that you think you have no control over—and you can get clear of those limiting ideas.
The pain and trauma of your past do not need to keep determining what happens in your future.
You can heal all of that and rise victorious in your true design.
YOU HAVE TO LIVE LIFE DELIBERATELY.
I understand that you are disheartened because things you once tried so hard to create just never came to anything, because you were at war within yourself as to whether you should allow yourself to have that stuff.
I understand that you are older and more jaded than you used to be.
I understand that it got so painful to keep pushing for what you wanted when nothing seemed to be working, and so it felt easier to give up and call it something good like, “I just surrendered to the universe/God’s plan for me.”
And I also see that you feel unfulfilled and restricted now. You hate it but believe you have to just be at peace with it for your sanity.
I understand.
But also… I say WAKE UP!
You learned how to manipulate the physical reality by working harder, harder, longer… but you never learned to harness your power to focus and allow your decrees through.
