I would sit on the edge of my seat, waiting, waiting, waiting for clarity from the heavens…
I would call it prayer…
I was simply stalling.
I would lurk and watch to see what others were doing in their businesses…
Trying to figure out what was working and what was not…
I would have called it research…
I was simply stalling.
I would do every activity under the sun EXCEPT what I felt I must do to further the vision…
I would say I needed to be sure and anyway, all this other stuff needed to be done…
I was simply stalling.
At the back of my head was a thought, a nagging, persistent thought…
A thought that killed all forward action…
A thought that kept me in stalling mode…
And I see you caught up in the same thought process…
Doing everything BUT the thing you really want to do…
Lurking, watching, thinking, ‘praying’…
Cleaning, clearing – Good to do but not in lieu of the external practical work…
And why do you do all this?
Because you have this nagging, persistent thought…
It is the one I used to have all the time…
The one I watch out for now and demolish fast…
The time-stealing thought…
The people-petrifying thought…
That you can get life wrong.
That something you do, will lead to disaster, the world ending and you being in hell or something for all eternity.
Where one of our awesome DMs brought up the idea that she kept delaying on putting a product out into the world because of this idea that somehow you can break your business & life forever…
And I remembered how I used to think that too
And it stopped me from living life fully…
Because I could do permanent damage…
And possibly end up in hell for all eternity too…
Hell was a real thing for me so honey, I was scared to make the wrong move…
There is no grace in a life lived that way…
And there is a LOT OF FEAR!
The thing that made all the difference for me, was cultivating a relationship with my higher power outside of the church.
Unfortunate, but true.
Outside of all the control and the telling me how to think and what to think and when to think it…
I suddenly realised that actually life was rigged for me to win, not lose…
That there really is abundant grace and love available to me
And that the only way I can get life/business completely wrong is to quit and DO NOTHING!
Which is what I was doing.
So I stopped stopping.
From a very physical, practical standpoint, Consistency in doing something towards your vision is obviously going to work better than staying stuck in place, trying to get everything right before you even try to start.
YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WILL WORK until you put something out there…
More experienced people can give you hints but even THEY do not know what will absolutely work for you…
The only way you find out is by PUTTING SOMETHING OUT THERE, DOING SOMETHING, ANYTHING…
And this works in all areas of life…
You can quietly wonder if that gal/dude wants to be with you and act all coy and play games without ever declaring yrou own intentions and you will remain in some limbo land where life is not moving forward…
Or you can declare yourself and find out one way or the other what the other person really thinks.
That way, you learn or you succeed.
AND YOU DEFINITELY MOVE FORWARD!
Which is the goal here…
To KEEP MOVING FORWARD TOWARDS THE VISION!
Whatever that vision is!
And the quicker you declare your intentions in every area of life, the quicker the game of life moves forward towards the realisation of your dreams.
Because the game is rigged in your favour.
It really is.
And as you cultivate a spiritual practice that allows you to look down on life from a higher viewpoint, you will realise that.
And when you truly see just how loved you are, you will KNOW that you cannot get life wrong.
You learn or you get the result you want.
Both move the game forward to the next thing…
Unless you stall the game by doing everything BUT take the next turn.
Too many people are stalled…
Waiting, waiting, waiting…
Scared that they will go to hell or whatever their version of it, is…
You don’t have to be religious to create your own hell, you know!
And all the while, Spirit whispers “It is rigged in your favour, honey – MOVE!”
Or as one of the recent affirmations in the #DeliberateLife stream went
“Divine Love Guides me
Divine Love cares for me
Divine Love is on my side
Life works out easily”
