I woke up with the words in the title, in my ears…
And I knew you had to hear them.
I knew they were for you because you are allowing silly emotions – guilt and shame – to tell you what you deserve…
You are making your life considerably harder than it need be because you think you deserve to struggle and suffer…
You are telling yourself that you cannot ask for what you want from Spirit because you deserve to suffer some more…
You think your past mistakes MUST determine your future…
And it is all a nonsense…
Nonsense put on you by the world, by religion, by parents, by bosses, by banks even…
And all to keep you under control…
And you have bought into it and you need not.
As I write this, I think of my daughters and how when they do something ‘wrong’ ( and let’s be honest, most of what we consider to be wrong from our children, is simply inconvenient to us), they simply apologize and expect it to be forgotten and so they get on with the next exciting adventure…
And as a parent brought up in a system where I was severely controlled and told what to do, when to do it, my spirit was truly broken a lot of the time growing up in an environment where the teachers were allowed to hit you and if you told your parents then they would hit you too. Hey, I turned out ok-ish (just lots to work out of my system) so not all bad but still…
I was brought up like that and it takes me a moment to remember that I am sooooooo happy that my princesses do not carry guilt and shame around like a shield because I try my darnedest not to use it to control them. It is a terrible way to get them to do what I want and honestly, I do not always succeed because at times, it feels like my discipline toolkit is running low on tools. Guilt, shame, fear seemed to be the only ones I was taught and so, everything I do now, I have had to learn or should I say, relearn because I was created with all of this but then it was bred out of me.
Anyway, What I am saying is that my daughters have mostly not learnt to operate in fear and guilt and shame and I want it to remain that way.
And I want that for you too…
To remember what it was like to just simply love yourself, mistakes and all..
To remember that you deserve to live a life of abundance as long as you are willing to step into it…
To remember that you are loved sooooo much and that nothing is ever withheld from you…
To remember that there are no hoops to jump through, the moment you decide what you want and determine to go after it, you can have it…
Honey, soak in those statements…
There is grace in abundance available to you – You no longer need to operate in guilt, shame, fear.
You can feel Spirit within reminding you that these words are true…
You can get out from under that heavy burden of thinking that you do not deserve good things.
And instead affirm over and over to yourself “I deserve every good thing”
“I DESERVE EVERY GOOD THING!”
And stop holding yourself back from getting it.
Can you not see that the only thing between you and every single thing you desire is the work and you do not do the work because deep down inside, you are not sure that you are worthy of good stuff. You have made mistakes, got yourself in debt, got yourself in weird relationships, had weird sex with random people, had arguments, lost money, started businesses, failed, gone bankrupt, got anxious, stressed out, you are tired all the time, you don’t feel connected to Source, you yelled at your kids, disappointed your parents and so on…
Honey, all of that is the past. And from this moment forward, you can simply choose to focus on what you are now creating and with the help of Spirit, Everything you desire is now yours.
Simply believe it and go for it.
Dump the guilt, Dump the shame.
