You catch a glimpse of the life you are here to create and then you get brought back with a bang to the life you are currently living…
You long for THAT life…
THAT life of freedom – You get to do what you want to do when you want to do it…
THAT life of fulfilment – A deep knowledge that you are on purpose and living out the call on your life. That sense you are in the right place at the right time and everything is perfect…
THAT life of abundance – How else do you get to be free and fulfilled if you do not also experience abundance in relationships, finances, health…
That is the life you desire…
And yet, for the most part, you feel stuck here…
Here in a place of doubt, of uncertainty, of pain, of hurt and of bewilderment…
How did you end up here?
How did life become this?
You had such high hopes when you were younger…
YOU KNEW that you were up to BIG AMAZING things…
And somehow, you ended up here…
Yes, you acknowledge that it is better than the life of many you know but you know that this is not all there is for you…
BUt you cannot see a way clear…
YOu have tried many, MANY things…
And yet, nothing seems to work…
Not in the way you imagine it should…
And you are here…
Lost and scared that this is really all there will ever be.
This morning, as I knelt in my quiet time – A time of revelation and wisdom…
I was reminded of this verse…
“As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you”
And that is you…
LONGING for something more…
LONGING to find home in your soul…
LONGING to feel complete, fulfilled, at peace…
And yet, honey, unlike the deer that instinctively comes to the brook and drinks to sate its thirst…
You go running from one sure-fire idea to another…
Ignoring the instinct in your heart to follow the calling and the purpose on your life…
You doubt that and yet you long for it, too…
But you do not believe you can do the thing that in your heart of hearts, you really do want to do…
And so you drift…
Trying to be super-‘reasonable’…
Pretending that you do not know that you are off-course…
Telling yourself that YOU HAVE TO do whatever it is that you are doing at the moment…
And it feels like your soul is dying because you are not like the masses who can ignore their soul…
YOu are not them…
You are too aware for that!
Honey, stop fighting!
And surrender.
Surrender to the call in your heart…
Surrender to getting clear on it…
Surrender to eliminating the blocks you feel around it…
Surrender to WHO YOU ARE BORN TO BE!
Come to the water and drink…
You hear the invitation in your heart of hearts…
You hear Source within you, calling you back to the narrow path…
The path to your destiny…
Honey, respond!
You feel lost because you tried to walk the path OTHERS are called to…
You tried to follow along the BROAD PATH that many are on, because they too are trying to ignore the call on their life…
But this is not your path…
Come on back to you.
