You are the one everyone leans on.

You are the one everyone reaches out to for advice.
.
You are the one people call when they need some kinda help or even money.
.
They just expect you to be there.
.
And for a season, that was okay.
.
For a season, it made you feel good to help everyone and to be there for them.
.
But recently, you have started to feel disturbed.
.
MAybe even resentful though you do not want to feel that way.
.
You are a good hearted person, after all, and you do like to give.
.
But you are looking at your life and you notice that though the people you keep helping and supporting seem to be progressing nicely, you are at a standstill.

Dreams and visions you thought would have materialised by now are still on the shelf or maybe you made an attempt at doing something but it has not taken off, especially since you were so busy supporting everyone else’s vision and you did not really create the time for yours.

YOu thought that it could wait.

you would do more in your spare time.

But what the heck is SPARE TIME?!

And where do you find that?

YOu are so busy be all things to all people, how on earth were you ever going to have any ‘SPARE’ time?!

And lets also not forget that when you need support, there is no one in sight to help you.

And yes, you have designed life that way by being ‘THE STRONG ONE’ but recently, you could really have done with someone taking a moment to look beyond the facade but no one even thinks to do that with you because you always seem to have it all.

Except you KNOW that you don’t.

In the silence (which you never allow to go on for long), you have felt a disturbing whisper reminding you of who & what you thought you would be, do, have by now and you look at your life and you are so far from there, you don’t want to look.

And also, you have had way too many situations where people who you helped then turn around and accuse you of something or the other!!! Or they take the side of the person you were trying to protect them from, even though they know what this person is like!!!

I mean, seriously, you lay down your life for these people and then they want to blame you for their craziness!
.
But honey, as angry and resentful as it may make you, you also know deep down that you created this, right?!
.
I certainly cannot support you if you do not take ownership for your part in this.
.
And I wonder if you are finally ready to pay attention to your own life.
