Stop being emotional

Do you find yourself not sending out emails to your mailing list because you are petrified they will unsubscribe and call you bad names?  That has happened to me.  I even had to catch myself this morning as I went to tell people about the new Facebook training!

Do you find yourself not using Facebook advertising or any advertising because you are so fearful of running out of money?  (Yep, me too!)

Do you find yourself putting the brakes on your business because you are worried about how it will be perceived by potential prospects?  (I hear you, honey!)

Do you find yourself holding back from just telling people what you have for them because you are worried they will think you are far too mercenary?  (Oh well, join the crazy old club of being the only one in your immediate circle that is actually willing to do whatever it takes to get what you want)

You do not announce your business on your Facebook profile because you are worried your friends will think you have become a bit of a snake oil salesman and, yes,  you can cover it up in all types of lovely sounding words but really, you are being far too emotional about this.  And for you and I to win at business, we can no longer afford to let it go on.

Yes, I understand that it is very important to you to win at business.  It is important to me too.

You feel like you have something to prove to the people who doubted you and yet, you are performing for them instead of just getting on and growing your business any old how. 

You have to get strategic about this and not be so hindered by what is going on in your head or even what may or may not be going on in someone else’s head.

Business can feel tough, particularly when you are attempting to ramp things up and you really cannot afford to have all kinds of crazy thoughts going on internally that stop you from taking the action you need to take to get that business moving forward.  Do you not understand that you are on a mission bigger than yourself?

Though it feels tough, business itself is fairly simple.  The more people you get to take a look at your stuff, the more chances you have of making a sale.

And if we wanted to get pretty fancy then the more ideal customers you get to take a look at what you have, then you increase the odds of someone buying from you exponentially.  So, why then are you getting all stuck in your head?

Why not become like a robot and just tell everyone, everywhere in as many different ways as you can think of,  about what you have on offer?  Why not?

Yours is to share your message – Finish

Theirs is to decide if what you have is what they want or need – That is it.

There need not be all the associated nonsense playing out in your head.

Simply answer – Do you have something worthwhile to sell?  Do you have something that can change someone’s life in a small or a huge way?  Yes?  Then it is your one and only responsibility to make sure they know about it in every possible way that you can think of.

You do not even need to learn how to do special marketing.  It helps but your business can still work without it.

Just tell someone.

Then tell the next person.

And then the next person.

Forever!

And one day, you will realise that money has caught up with you because you have made a difference to a lot of people who have then gone on to tell other people about you.

And despite all that success, you just keep looking for new ways to serve someone with your thing and you keep telling the next person and the next person and some days, you have a new way of serving someone you already served once so you tell them about it again and if they like this new thing of yours, they buy again from you.

And this time, it is easier because they trust you.

How cool is that.

You get to to be in business, making a difference, making a fortune and definitely not getting crazy emotional about whether people like you or not.  You get to not have to associate your sales today with some kind of deep meaning about your self worth and whether you are good enough or not.

You can just let it be and speak to the next person.

I know it is easier said than done, but the emotions are stopping you from serving people and making a difference to them.  And that affects your wealth.  You don’t want that, do you?

Stop it already.

Tell the next person now.
