7 Simple Steps to Make More, Work Less

1. KNOW YOUR PERSON’S NEEDS

Who do you serve? What do they want?  Something I like to do is make a list of 10 things that could help my people as well as questions they ask because not only does it help me create content for them, it also helps me decide on what products I need to create for them.  I can then break those 10 things down even further which gives me even more ideas.

2. CREATE A LEAD MAGNET

Pick one of the ideas from the above point and create a lead magnet or free giveaway around it.  It must be high value so that people get an idea of the quality of support you can offer.  If you are into physical products then consider discount vouchers as a lead magnet that is easy to create.

3. BUILD A MAILING LIST

Create a landing page for people to sign up for your free gift and connect it to email marketing service provider.  I use RosemaryNonnyknight.com/leadpages for creating landing pages fast and RosemaryNonnyknight.aweber.com for storing email addresses and staying in contact with people.

4. CREATE PRODUCTS THAT SOLVE THEIR NEEDS

OK, so now, you start to find products or create products that will help people.  It is pretty unlikely that ONE product will be enough for this to work, but at the same time, there are people who build their whole business on ONE main product that they launch ONCE a year or so.  You can do that, if you want but I am a creator so I like to create things that can help my people.  And as I grow and develop, I like to share all of that with people as well.  Whichever way, you need products that solve problems.

5. CREATE AUTOMATED SERIES OF EMAILS TO LAUNCH THESE PRODUCTS

For each product, you will need to create a sales page and a series of emails that are sent out for a period of 3, 5, 7, 10 days or more.  It is up to you, your audience and the pricing of the product.  Just pick something and get to writing.  You do not have to have it all sorted out to begin, start with one product and go from there.

6. TEST TWEAK UNTIL IT IS WORKING CONSISTENTLY

OK, now that you have that set up, test and tweak email headlines to get the best open rates and also, test sign up rates for your lead magnet.  I must admit, I do some testing and tweaking particularly around any adverts I run to get people onto my mailing list but beyond that, I am likely to just create more things as I know that some people will not be interested in certain things but will be interested in others so the more I create, the more likely I am to sell things.

7. KEEP SENDING PEOPLE TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR LEAD MAGNET

And finally, keep sending people to the sign up page using free or paid means.  That becomes your daily occupation and you can tone it down or speed it up depending on what results you want.  Whichever way, when you have this working, this can become a passive income stream for you.  Do not expect to ever get to the place where you never work at all but you can certainly choose your hours.
