5 Ways To Include Being Grateful & Make Life Work So Much Better

Learning to be grateful every single day of your life will open you up to so much reward.  It may seem fake and cheesy to be like Pollyanna, ever looking for something to be glad about and yet, this one attitude has the potential to open your life up in ways you will never understand until you give it a try.

It is so normal to be the negative nelly, to be sarcastic, to look for the scam and you forget the impact that your words and behaviours have on your spirit and soul.  Then you wonder why life feels dissatisfying – You have spoken it into being and you have trained yourself to look for things to feel dissatisfied about.

It is time to turn things around and no, it will not feel easy to do but, with discipline, you can start to live a life of gratitude and thankfulness

1. End The Day With Gratitude.

Instead of going to bed watching the latest TV programme, choose to spend 5 minutes or so, looking for things to be grateful in the day.  Again, you have to break the habit of looking for things to be worried about – It is so natural now that you do not even realise that you are doing that.  Every single person tends to have, on average, an equivalent set of highs and lows in any given week but most people are not aware of the high moments because they allow the low moments to occupy their brain all the time.

You must stop this practice or more to the point, replace it with more positive behaviours – Look for the good!

2. A Mid Day Gratitude List

Is your day feeling tough, write out a gratitude list.  Sitting around feeling grumpy about situations you may not be able to change immediately, is not doing you any favours.  Instead, take a moment to review things you can be grateful for.

3. Initiate Forgiveness By Searching For The Good

Is there someone in your life who has offended you? And can you not shake the feeling that you have been treated badly wrong?  If you want to be free, spend time thinking about reasons to be grateful for, or even TO, this person.  It may take some doing to get your mind to a place where it is willing to accept that there are things you can be thankful for, however forgiveness is really about your freedom.  I know  yuo have heard that before but it is true.  If you want to be free enough to create a life and a business that you adore then learn how to quickly forgive.

4. Use Words of Gratitude, rather than Criticism

It is tempting to think that criticism will always get better results than gratitude but you would be wrong.  HUmans being react better to more positive words than they do to negative nagging.  Relationships deteriorate over time when there is more negative than positive words being spoken.  So, before you nag at your teenager, or spouse or employee, choose instead to think of things you can be grateful to them for.  I get it, it will feel unnatural for a while but do you want a whole life or not?  Do you want great relationships or not?

If you do, then choose to be someone who brings gratitude into every relationship.  Choose to be someone who makes clear requests, rather than nagging.

5. Replace Complaining with Gratitude.

You complain when you feel victimised in some way.  The truth is, you are never EVER a victim and another truth – VICTIMS DO NOT MAKE MONEY! so honey, if you want ALL areas of your life to work well, including your finances, then please replace your complains with gratitudes.

Try this with me.  For the next 21 days, do not complain.  In fact, when yuo are tempted to, replace it with a reason to be grateful.  Can you do that?  It takes about 21 days to establish a new habit so give this a go and then tell me the different it makes to yoru outlook on life and actually, the results you start to see and get.
